so, as summer approaches, new methods of transport have to be uncovered to make the most out of it. i live in Bondi. lucky. for me. not you. unless you live in Bondi. then we're both lucky. and we should have a beer. anyways, my trusty skateboard can be counted on. of course. but im growing impatient as i grow older. everything now. so, my boy, and long time australian macbeth family member trevor mcdavid, who happens to be one of those crazy kids on two wheels who try to beat thier pb time riding down sketchy mountains in the bush, found me a bike. in a council clean up.
hey humans! just a quick update on our long time family and friends Little Birdy.
(...hey alex) ok peeps, so, yep, its cold here in Sydney. freakin, freakin cold. 4c/39f last night. i know, i know its not that cold but, oi, i live in Sydney? you know? Sydney? beaches? parks? palm trees? we've had snow warnings an hour out of sydney. every year it will snow up in the mtns. Sydney?
yeah so we moved into our new office this week. it's a rad green, eco-friendly, carbon neutral, up market hippie commune with heaps of secretaries. yessssss. only problem is our office is a mess, you couldn't swing a cat, and there's still no internet hooked up in there. c'mon, this is australia. (thank you very much). so Dan and myself have commandeered the cane lounge area called "palm beach" and pretty much hiss and scratch any one that comes near us.
yeah so, a lesson to be learnt here kids. never brag. Ever. EVER.
so the Gyro's rolled through Sydney this weekend. Tearing themselves away from the Empire hotel and playing Buck-hunter to play for a bunch of beer throwing, frothing crazed fans. it was MASSIVE. From the moment they walked on the stage till the moment they walked off, it was bursting. The venue was the Metro and the hoards packed it up good and tight. Everyone rocked up to see it too, which was rad. The who's who of the music industry, the whole Macbeth Australia crew was represented and their friends, as well as the usaual suspects we see at all the Gyro gigs.
so i got me new board from the rulers at Chilli surfboards. (thanks Taylor). Chilli shapes for guys like Dorian Andy Irons and Chris Ward when they're in town so he's the goods. in fact he's shaped for half the top 28 before. it was meant to be for Chris Shiflett from the Foo Fighters but he couldn't take it out, so.... its mine. for now anyways. so thanks james and Taylor and thanks Chris.
There's nothing like a good cuppa tea to beat those Monday morning blues, don't you think? Especially when comes from a tin. just like the old days. Sitting in the trenches with your tin full of tea. i mean come on. So rad. 100 bags too... Now thats a fiver well spent, i'll give you the tip.
