i went to a screening of dark knight last night….and all i can say is HOLY SHIT.
this movie does not suck. it does not disappoint. heath is obviously amazing. so evil…so badass….and, well, sad.
its loud, fast and super dark.
my buddy* kevin smith (the director) said it was a "masterpiece." i don’t know if i would go that far…but it is awesome.
(*not true. don’t know him.)
also awesome?
the people who were at the screening. (click read more)

I came across a really cool photo editorial on how vinyl's are made at United Record Pressing in Nashville...home of the first Beatles vinyl LP that was released in America. Vinyl's are making a comeback these days, which I totally back.
Check out this awesome picture of Derek from Mayday Parade sporting his white Eliots on stage at Warped Tour.
Yes thats right The Dead Walk! are breaking up and we will see their corpses finally lay to rest at 1 last final Newcastle show on July 5th at where it all started The Black Box. Then the following week TDW! are playing Hardcore 08 for a set that will be something to remember................... A little word of advice: bring the gore or you will leave with some regardless of where you are standing.
Since everyone loves an update, I thought I'd post this interview I found online yesterday. The funny thing is, I don't remember doing this interview. Oh well...Enjoy!
Hunter Burgan: Before we get started, I just have to tell you that I recently watched some episodes of Maude on DVD...and you are hilarious! I love it more than Golden Girls!
Bea Arthur*: Thank you. So what's new, Hunter? What have you been up to?
so i didnt make it out to nashville a few weeks ago when Anges & Airwaves played, but i did make it out for a pretty cool band i guess.
METALLICA. (clips after the jump below.)
i went out to al gore's home state (did you know he lost his home state in 2000? UGHHH) for the bonnaroo festival where metallica was playing with the raconteurs, tegan & sara, kanye west, pearl jam and others. lots of hippies. seriously. also - tegan & sara were great as always. god i love those gals.
Check out this awesome article about Bonaroo featuring Tegan and Sara in the New York Times. http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/bonnaroo/
We all seem to dread this type of news when it comes to bands that you have listened to for so many years and have built amazing relationships with. Macbeth has been a supporter and friend of From Autumn To Ashes for many years and to have news come through that they will be taking a indefinite hiatus is always a bummer. Fran (vocals) was kind enough to write up a statement to clear up the reason behind the decision.
People, our friends in After The Fall are back with amazing new songs.... check out their myspace to listen to their new music. http://www.myspace.com/afterthefallaustralia they are posting a new song every Monday, so check back in every week to hear something new... After The Fall are the first Australian band Macbeth ever supported, so check them outMike
