Official Rules for the ‘Bamboozle Fly Away/Give Away’ Contest

Macbeth, Journeys, Live Nation, Guitar Center and Epiphone bring you a chance to win a fabulous trip for two to The Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey on May 3rd and 4th of 2008.  Airfare and accommodations will be completely paid for plus you will receive entry to the festival on both days, access to the Macbeth VIP tent to hang out, a meet in greet with a TBD festival performer, a pair of limited edition Macbeth Bamboozle sneakers and a one of a kind Epiphone guitar designed by Macbeth!  Two runner ups will also receive a pair of Bamboozle shoes and a one of a kind Epiphone. Winner will be drawn at random from those who submit the entry form, subject to the Official Rules below. To fill out entry form, click here.

Only legal U.S. residents 13 years of age or older are eligible to enter the ‘Bamboozle Fly Away/Give Away’ Contest. Must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to win the Fly Away portion of the Contest. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. Employees of Macbeth or its affiliates are not eligible for entry. Void where prohibited by law.

Contest begins on March 14, 2008. Go to www.macbethfootwear.com/bamboozle. Click on the ‘Bamboozle’ banner and fill out the entry form. Fly Away entries must be received by April 12, 2008. Give Away entries must be received by May 5, 2008. Winners will be determined solely by a pick at random.

Fly Away Prize

On April 15, 2008, one winner will be drawn at random to win the Fly Away prize. The winner will receive a round-trip ticket for 2 to the Bamboozle, New Jersey Festival with a meet-n-greet TBD and access to the Macbeth VIP lounge plus a pair of limited edition Macbeth Bamboozle shoes (while supplies last) or alternative pair of Macbeth shoes and a custom Bamboozle Gibson guitar. Only entrants 18 years of age or older are eligible to receive the Fly Away Prize. If an entrant under 18 years of age is drawn for the Fly Away prize, his or her entry will be put back into the pot to have the chance to win the Give Away Prize.

Give Away Prize

On May 6, 2008, two winners will be drawn at random to win the Give Away prize. The winner will each receive a custom Bamboozle Gibson guitar and a pair of limited edition Macbeth Bamboozle shoes (while supplies last) or alternative pair of Macbeth shoes.

The winners will be drawn at random and notified via email. Once the drawing has been made, the decisions are final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified at the e-mail address given on the entry form. If a potential winner cannot be reached at the email address provided on the entry form and/or does not respond to Macbeth’s notification within 5 days from Macbeth’s first attempt to contact him/her, or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner will be selected, using the same criteria listed above. The winner of the Fly Away prize must supply a copy of his or her driver’s license, birth certificate, or passport within 5 days of Macbeth’s notification in order to provide proof of eligibility. All entries become Macbeth’s property and will not be returned.

All Federal, state and local laws and regulations apply to this Contest. Winners have the sole responsibility for all taxes (including, but not limited to, income taxes). Prizewinners may be required to execute (and have notarized) a liability release and a publicity release, which must be returned to and received by Macbeth within five (5) days after winner receives the forms. Noncompliance may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be chosen. All entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules.

All interpretations of the rules and decisions by Macbeth are final. Macbeth reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Macbeth site; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MACBETH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT/INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

THE CALIFORNIA COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE CONTEST AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA SHALL GOVERN THE CONTEST. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS. If, for reasons beyond Macbeth’s control, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, because of, for example, tampering or infection by computer virus, Macbeth at its sole discretion, reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Contest, without liability. Void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law.

No responsibility is assumed for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by a participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest or by any human error, which may occur in the processing of the entries to this Contest. Entrants agree that Contest shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/attendance/possession and/or use/misuse of prize(s), participation in Contest, or any technical malfunctions of transmission line, computer on-line system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, hardware, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutilated, delayed, corrupted, mechanically duplicated, illegible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants also agree that Macbeth is not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer related to or resulting from Contest and its prizes. Macbeth is not liable for damage to a user’s computer system in any way due to an entrant’s participation in the Contest or downloading any information in connection with the contest, including without limitation any server failure, lost, delayed or corrupted date or other malfunction. Macbeth reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest in the event that it becomes technically corrupted. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a winning entry online, the holder of the winning e-mail account will be declared the winner.
